Dating Sites For Educated Professionals, Dating App For Successful Singles, Executives

A quick search for educated singles, professional people, intellectuals will yield a list of familiar and no-so-familiar apps on the market. Many of these apps are scams trying to provide a fake sense of popularity or authenticity. Others have changed over the years and allowed more people to join to increase user counts.

Below is an overview of apps people typically associate with educated professionals. For a more general overview of dating apps, check out this page for more dating app options.

Match.com – Match.com Review, Is Match.com Worth It? Is It Worth Paying For Match.com?

If you are reading this, chances are you likely gave Match.com a try. Many people from 35-65 try Match.com a spin as their first attempt at online dating. At one point, Match was the largest dating site out there but after Tinder came out, it moved toward app first features.

Other apps have come along and chipped away at their market share but it can be worth using in some cases. The business model has changed over time but for the most part, it’s important to understand that not everyone tell the truth and not everyone is active on the site.

Many people make the false assumption that since users are required to pay to use the service, that they must be more serious than free apps and dating sites. That correlation is quite incorrect, as there are many profiles that are not paid on the site.

Some people lurk, some are bots, some are stalkers, some are researches (like myself and my dummy account for clients) and some are scammers.

Since Match requires users to be paid users to read, write and respond to messages, not all accounts are able to connect with you. Giving a false sense of user counts and profile views leaves people frustrated when they message others and get no responses.

Elite Singles – Is EliteSingles Any Good? EliteSingles Pros And Cons, eHarmony Review,

Elite Singles is an app that is at the top of search results when seeking dating apps for professionals, educated singles and intellectuals. Unfortunately, this app is pretty garbage. You can’t really search by radius as users are on the thin side and thus have to extend large radius options so you don’t run out of profiles quickly.

eHarmony is similar to EliteSingles in that it claims to focus on marriage minded folks, largely from Christian backgrounds. Similar to EliteSingles, user base is small, fees are expensive, app gives a false sense of quality via paid business model.

Online Dating Rejection, Unmatching

Dating app rejection: unmatching, low effort messages, slow to respond & left on read. Is it ok to ignore messages? Do you need to unmatch on Hinge, Bumble?

Is Bumble Any Good? Who Uses Bumble? Bumble App Review – Dating App For Professionals

Bumble has making a lot of noise on the dating scene. Founded by a woman, IPO’d and has positioned itself as putting women first, this dating app has caught the attention of women from professional backgrounds and lifestyles.

A few of the biggest complaints on dating apps is that women feel overwhelmed by attention, likes, winks, matches, messages, stalkers etc. Bumble took note and make some changes to their business model by giving women control over who can message them. For an additional fee, women can also make their profiles private limiting who can view their profiles i.e. exes, stalkers, co-workers, bosses etc.

These seemed to be great ideas but it has really had many unintended consequences, leaving women with a whole new set of problems and frustrations. Since women have to make the first move, it has given the burned of women of starting conversations which many are not comfortable with or experienced with.

Since men can’t send messages and have to rely on photos/profiles rather than witty comments like on Hinge, they tend to swipe right on profiles more often than other apps. This has led to women who receive more matches than they believe are authentic.

Some men swipe right on every profile, some don’t look at profiles when swiping, some only swipe right on profile they want to hook up with while others swipe right on profiles for attention, ego boosts or by accident. Some guys lose interest or re-rank profiles (matches) and focus on those they are most interested in.

One of the biggest complaints women have is that matches don’t reply to their messages.

Is The League Any Good? Dating Site For Professionals, Exclusive Dating App For Smart People

The League app is an exclusive dating app for “professionals” that screens applicants individually to focus on those that are serious about dating (trying to weed out those seeking hookups).

It was initially known for its private club like approach to dating apps when it first launched with waiting list, red rope policy (paying off the company to expedite applications) and limiting users who were from Ivy League schools and backgrounds.

The League offered curated profiles by limiting profiles available each day (similar to Coffee Meets Bagel) and offered privacy (for an extra fee) which allowed you to block profiles from your current company by utilizing data from Linkedin.

Over time, in order to sustain growth, allowed more users to sign up that were from less prestigious schools and careers. It eventually was acquired by Match Group, which also owns sketchy sites and apps like Plenty of Fish (POF) and Tinder. At one point, CEO claimed to have 25% user base of Jewish backgrounds and faith (see the interview, details below).

If are seriously considering these apps, you are beyond help. Best of luck. Most of these apps target gullible types who are looking for a sugar momma/daddy. Final Thoughts – Best Dating Sites Educated Professionals, Intellectuals

Many folks who have done well professionally in their careers often struggle with dating as that requires a different approach, mindset and skill set. Many people don’t understand algorithms, have unrealistic expectations, or think their education, career and wealth makes up for their looks, marketability (see 49ers – this applies to men too).

Most men, women ignore preferences, deal-breakers such as height, distance, age, lifestyle choices, and religion. Lack of social skills, poor hygiene, bad communication skills, narcissistic photos and poor etiquette can lower your visibility and attractiveness.
