Average Likes Hinge Likes Per Day, When Do Hinge Likes Reset, Average Bumble Likes Per Day (Men, Women), Bumble Swipe Limit, How Many Likes Is Normal?

When it comes to dating apps, being a new user can feel like being a kid in a candy store. Likes are free and profiles endless – or so it seems.

The truth is, new user accounts on dating apps are boosted to get you hooked – some say it is to train the algorithm but in reality, they are trying to see how desperate you are to swipe recklessly and possibly pay for premium accounts.

Once your profile settles, it is shown less and all of a sudden likes and matches slow down, even come to a halt. That is perfectly normal or should I say expected.

Marketing efforts kick in so that they can get you to buy boosts and other premium products. If they can’t get you to do that, they want you to send out likes for them (to get others hooked, engaged) or at least spend more time on the app to see ads, click on ads and collect data about you.

Over time, dating apps have limited the free options on their platforms by reducing likes per day, adjusting free filters available or by making prompts more idiotic and ambiguous. Below are some things to be aware of when sending out likes, understanding algorithms and interpreting interest from others.

That will depend on your area, filters, etc. Some places don’t have many profiles to you show, others will throttle profiles shown so you don’t leave the app after a day or so of swiping through everyone.

Bumble Swipe Limit? Bumble Like Limit? How Many Free Likes On Bumble

There is not a specific amount of profiles that are show to you, nor a set limit on how many likes you get on Bumble. If you begin to swipe too much, too quickly and/or have too strict criteria selected, you will run out soon. Bumble will display the screen “Bumble You’ve Hit The End Of The Line.” It can be 20-30, sometimes up to 50.

Bumble is a bit more liberal with new profiles but it will dwindle over time despite profiles repeating. Other sites claim unlimited swipes, but that is untrue.

Rather than swipe recklessly and too much, contain yourself. Chances are you are sabotaging your profile with bad prompts, photos or bio. You only get one chance to make a first impression, so slow down, see what works and iterate.

Swiping Right Too Much, Too Quickly On Bumble, Hinge & Tinder

If you are on an app for a period of time, you might come across profiles you have already seen or swiped on.

One reason for this is because you are swiping too much, too often. Dating apps process an insane amount of data and it’s costly to update servers in real-time, to everyone after every swipe.

Sometimes it takes time for dating apps to refresh their report servers to balance costs, efforts and so you are better off taking your time to review profiles carefully to allow the apps to catch up and record your actions.

Even then, apps are likely to penalize you and show you less to others if you swipe right too much and or never scroll to look at profiles thoroughly.

How Do Dating Apps Make Money (Hinge, Bumble), Online Dating Monetization

Some apps sell advertising on their website, others sell your personal data to 3rd parties, others make money from subscriptions and upgrades. Dating apps work like drug-dealers – they give you a hit and get you hooked.

With dating apps, they boost your profile initially and then slow down how many people see your profile and how many profiles they show you. Many users think if they pay for subscriptions and upgrades they can reclaim that initial activity but that’s often not the case.

Most profiles have exhausted more of their compatible and likely likes/matches early on and don’t have many remaining options left.

Few profiles are great enough that they continue the stream of likes/matches that they saw when they first signed up (these are usually the most in-demand aka most attractive people on the platform).

Dating apps sell users false hope by stating they can get X more number of matches with Y premium feature.

Typically, these additional likes (if any) are from people located further away, outside your league, accidental likes, or people looking for IG followers or attention or people who right-swipe on everyone.

Paying for subscriptions is like paying for paid ads on websites – they likely result in accidental clicks or bots clicking on ads to get others to pay more.

Why Am I Not Getting Any Likes On Hinge? How Do I Get More Likes On Hinge?

New users are boosted upon registration and will be shown to many people within the first few hours and days. Once your profile is shown enough times, Hinge will adjust visibility (who you are shown too, how often you are shown) based on your right-swipe worthiness.

If you want to continue getting likes on Hinge, work on your profile. Improve your worst photos, fill out your answers to prompts and bio, add captions to your photos and send comments along with likes.

No Likes On Bumble? How To Get More Likes On Bumble?

Bumble is a rather superficial app in terms of the photo quality on profiles but also user engagement. Guys are unable to send first messages so as a result, they sometimes like every profile and then see who likes them back.

It’s hard to distinguish effort with a swipe on Bumble. Since women get bombarded with likes on the app, they tend to be more selective and like fewer profiles (perhaps less so than apps like Hinge where effort can be gauged with comments).

My recommendation for getting more likes on Bumble – invest in your photos, prompts. Paying for boosts might get you more likes, but these are low quality likes from people outside area, age range and interest.

How Many Likes On Hinge Is Normal? Average Hinge Likes Per Day For A Girl, Guy

That depends on your age, location, photos, writing skills, politics, religion etc. Over time, it will reduce from the initial few days. For some it can be a few likes a day, for others it can be several dozen likes a day.

With that said, rather than care about how many likes you have, focus on matches and quality conversations and dates. Likes and matches can be inflated and mean nothing on dating apps.

For women, they tend to receive fewer likes than on apps like Bumble. Learn why here. Guys outnumber women around 2.5:1 upwards of 4:1 or more. Given ratios and also the fact that men send out more likes than women, guys should expect to receive 1/5 to 1/6 or less the amount of likes women do on Hinge.

It can vary, but typically women get more likes on Bumble than Hinge, CMB and other similar apps. Reason being is that the location changes due to GPS location vs locked in location on Hinge etc. Similarly, some guys on Bumble play the volume game and send likes out to all/most women.

Rather than concern yourself about who likes you, focus on yourself and what you can control, influence i.e. bios, prompts, photos, lifestyle choices, etc.

TLDR: No Matches On Hinge, No Matches On Bumble, No Matches On Tinder

The first few hours, days on a dating app are very important. Your profile is shown heavily to others so you don’t want to squander this opportunity.

There is already a gender imbalance on most dating apps and considering guys are likely to be on twice as many apps as women and given situations like Covid where women are taking things slow (talking to one person at a time often), you may not be able to get a second chance to have your profile displayed to that woman that left-swiped you.

Sure you can rebound but making small, incremental improvements might not always help. Sometimes it will take all new photos, a pause from dating apps or using completely new dating apps altogether. These are the things I talk through with clients when reviewing their profiles.

Paying for premium dating app features can help a little, but they can’t make you more attractive. Oftentimes, the additional likes come from people outside your area or those below your attractiveness threshold.

The best ROI for your dating efforts online is to choose the right apps, start off strong with the best photos possible, don’t ignore captions and answers to prompts and fill out relevant info on your bio.

Does Swiping Left Help Elo Score? Does Swiping Left Help Hinge Algorithm?

It can but merely swiping left doesn’t do much. Spending more time reviewing profiles and being more realistic about your likelihood for matching will help more (distance, age, looks, education, lifestyle).

Swiping too fast, too much in either direction can hurt your score.

Tinder Like Limit, Tinder Likes Per Day, How To Bypass Tinder Like Limit

One can expect around 50-100 likes a day on a free plan but that largely depends on your gender, age, location, available profiles etc. Tinder like limits can fluctuate based on demand/inventory.

Does Hinge Limit Likes, Matches; Does Bumble Limit Likes, Matches

No, it does not. Once likes and matches are created, sent, they are sent. When you see them depends on when you happen to like said person or not as well as your filters/deal-breakers.

Why Does Hinge Limit Likes?

Last time I checked, Hinge is a company not a charity. It costs money to hire engineers, marketing; maintain servers, deal with customer service inquiries and generate profits for shareholders.
