Raised in Marin County, I spent a significant part of my life navigating the trails, beaches, overviews, day-trips, hikes, food, hidden gems and tourist attractions of Marin. Whether spending an entire day along the coast in search of oysters and farms in West Marin, walking aimlessly on Mount Tam, driving the windy roads of the Marin Headlands, you can’t go wrong spending your days away from the fog in SF and in the beautiful weather of Marin County.

There are plenty of things to do in Marin County including bars with a view, great restaurants, outdoor spaces, hiking trails on Mt Tam, drive up to the top of Mt Tam (East Peak), day trips to Point Reyes, waterfall hikes near Bolinas and many other hidden gems in Marin County. 

Don’t miss out on the epic tide falls in Alamere Falls (featured in Travel + Leisure as one of the best waterfalls in the country). Some of my favorite places to explore are downtown Sausalito, Floating Homes (also known as houseboats) of Sausalito, Mill Valley, Marin Headlands, Muir Woods, Inverness, Cataract Falls, Alamere Falls, Cavallo Point, Point Reyes National Seashore, Tomales Bay, Bolinas (residents hate tourists so much they try to hide city signs) and Fairfax.
