FOREIGN CINEMA RESTAURANT, SAN FRANCISCO

Al Fresco Dining, Outdoor Movie Screening & Arts Enclave: Food, Staff, Drinks, Ambiance, Dinner Theater

Foreign Cinema is a staple of the San Francisco restaurant scene since it opened in 1999. Chefs Gayle Pirie and John Clark have done an incredible job of bringing food, wine, cocktails, film, and art gallery all under one roof.

These images highlight the expansive, beautiful interior this restaurant features as well as the cozy and distinct nooks you will find throughout the space making it obvious as to why it’s one of the most romantic, fun, social date night restaurants in the city.

From their incredible cocktail program to rotating seasonal dish lineups, Foreign Cinema is quite the unique place for brunch and dinner. My style of photography lends well to restaurants and bars looking to capture details in the interiors and menu items all without interruption of camera equipment, obtrusiveness in staging photos nor distractions to patrons and staff.

During Covid-19, this is one of the best options for a romantic, outdoor dining experience in their airy courtyard and tall ceilings with amazing light, heat lamps and minimal wind and location in a secluded area away from foot traffic. It’s one of my favorite socially-distanced date ideas in SF.
