Oaxaca Travel Guide: Chocolate, Mezcal, Day Trips, Bars, Restaurant, Where To Stay, Hotel, Tours, Food Recommendations, Architecture Tips

Oaxaca is one of my favorite places in the world. Home to amazing cheese, corn, mole and mezcal – what else do you need? A quick 1-hour flight from Mexico City, this food enthusiast destination is not to be missed. Colonial architecture, mezcal tasting rooms with expansive views rival those of Napa and Sonoma wine country.

A three-day trip will suffice to get a good grasp of the city and immediate terrain, but it will leave you wanting to extend your trip a few more days. An extremely walkable city offers plenty to do beyond the food but you can easily be content nibbling your way through the cobblestone roads in search of amazing food carts, mezcal bars, restaurants, and one of a kind hole in the walls.
